Very light weight, doesn't feel like a lot of gold was used. the necklace us very thin and gets tangled easily. I switched it out with a better one that I had. It's pretty, not bad at all...just not a significant piece of jewelry that I'd show off or anything like that. I wouldn't give it as a gift to someone who had an impressive jewelry collection.... but it would be a good gift for someone who is building their jewelry collection, like a bride or college graduate.
